Phil Crowley, Esq.

Phil Crowley is an Angel investor, business counselor and lawyer with over 40 years of experience in applying law and strategic thinking to technology-based firms.  After 30+ years in the law department of Johnson & Johnson, Phil set up his own law practice focused on helping growing technology companies avoid expensive legal mistakes as they make ideas happen. While at Johnson & Johnson, he was involved in counseling businesses on legal issues impacting their operations and in providing support for acquisition and divestiture efforts, among other matters.

Prior to his career at Johnson & Johnson, Phil worked for six years on Wall Street involved in mergers and acquisitions and securities and bank financings.  Before attending Columbia Law School, Phil earned a B.S. in physics from Stevens Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Applied Physics from Harvard University.  He also served as a Senior Research Scientist at Corning Glass Works Sullivan Park Science & Technology Center in Corning, New York.

Phil serves as a Trustee of Stevens Institute of Technology and as a mentor/advisor to several innovation centers/accelerators in the Metro NY/NJ area.  He is a member of the board of directors of Shine Analytics Limited, an IT startup that employs artificial intelligence via a SaaS platform for in-house counsel.

Lauren M. Landolfi, CPA, MST

Lauren Landolfi, a Tax Manager at Wilkin & Guttenplan P.C. (W&G), joined the firm in 2007. She is a tax professional with extensive expertise providing  tax consulting and compliance services to her clients, including multi-state corporations and partnerships, high net worth individuals, entertainers and athletes, closely-held businesses, not-for-profit organizations, real estate entities, and family offices.

Lauren works in the sports, music and entertainment division of W&G overseeing daily operations  and consulting with clients in all aspects of their financial lives. She is also responsible for the oversight of our business management services.

Lauren is a frequent speaker and presenter of CPE and CLE and holds an annual year-end tax planning seminar. Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked for a large regional CPA firm.

Christopher M. Frederick, CPA

Christopher Frederick, a Manager at Wilkin & Guttenplan P.C., has been with the firm since 2012. He divides his time between working with clients in the real estate industry and closely-held businesses.  

As part of his real estate expertise, Christopher works with a multitude of CIRAs throughout New Jersey performing audits, compilations, forecasts and consulting. He also assists real estate clients with sponsor transition procedures and project management.

Prior to joining Wilkin & Guttenplan P.C., Christopher worked as a senior accountant for a firm in Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania, providing accounting, auditing and tax services to a diverse client base.

Vinay S. Navani, CPA, CGMA, MBA, MST

Vinay Navani, a shareholder at Wilkin & Guttenplan P.C., joined the firm in 1998. His client roster includes emerging and established businesses in the high-tech, software, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, as well as other closely-held businesses and business owners. He assists his clients on income tax planning and related matters such as business sales and restructuring, retirement plans, charitable giving strategies, tax audits and other topics.

Vinay devotes much of his practice to international tax matters including U.S. tax aspects of international business such as foreign businesses doing work in the U.S., U.S. businesses doing work abroad, transfer pricing and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

For individuals, Vinay is well versed in tax issues relating to offshore bank account compliance such as the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP). Vinay also assists U.S. citizens living overseas with their U.S. tax filing obligations.

Immediately prior to joining the firm, Vinay served as Technical Manager for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Tax Information Phone Service. In this capacity, he provided tax research services as well as professional expertise to other Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). He was also previously a tax manager at an international CPA firm.

Kerrie R. Heslin, Esq., Managing Partner

Kerrie R. Heslin has an expertise in employment and labor matters for management. Ms. Heslin devotes a majority of her practice to the litigation of employment matters involving discrimination, whistleblower claims, wage and hour and benefits issues on behalf of employers. She also handles counseling and litigation involving workforce reductions, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, FLSA HIPAA, and labor law issues. Ms. Heslin also counsels clients on diverse employment issues, such as training, hiring and firing of employees, leaves of absence, employment agreements, separation agreements and releases, restrictive covenants, employment applications, and policy manuals.

She litigates matters in state and federal court and before administrative agencies (including state and federal EEO agencies and the Department of Labor). Diane Goldman

Diane Goldman is a Sales Executive with New Agency Partners, LLC, an independent insurance agency that provides Commercial Property and Casualty; Employee Benefits; Personal, Home and Auto Insurance; and Life, Disability and Long Term Care Coverage.

Matt Werner

Matt Werner leads up business development initiatives for IPISC and brings a unique and diverse approach to managing risk. He started his career as a Chinese linguist in the US Navy where he served aboard airborne platforms and managed large teams of linguists in support of regional and national missions.

After leaving the service, Matt received his MBA and worked on various projects in China before joining DaVita Healthcare partners. At DaVita Matt led operations in both Los Angeles and in Malaysia before setting down in the New York area where for the past two years Matt has been advising companies and individuals on their intellectual property risk exposure and respective risk mitigation solutions.
